PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- William L. "Bill" Hager, 66, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born June 23, 1952, in Perryville, son of Carl V. and Ruby Mae Taylor Hager. He and Clara A. Schwartz were married May 17, 1975. She survives in Perryville.
Bill was an air frame- and power plant-certified technician for Sabreliner Corp. for 43 years. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a third-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 1263 and American Legion Post 133 booster.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son, Clarissa (Brian) Kettler of Houston, Bryan M. (Emily) Hager of Perryville and Julie Hager of St. Louis; a brother, Roger (Nancy) Hager of Perryville; and four grandchildren, Noah, Emma and Simon Hager and Kyden Kettler, with one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Donna Moran Schuessler; and a grandchild, Baby Hager.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
He will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Joe Geders officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent Parish.
