LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- William Henry Magill, 74, of Lake Forest died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at Lake Forest Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1923, at Cape Girardeau to Dr. Arthur Clay Magill and Ethel Mae Miller.
He worked for Amoco Chemicals Corp. from 1953 to 1985. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Jeanette Mae Beckman July 28, 1951, at Rolla, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Magill of Ridgefield, Conn., and Scott Magill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Ann Marie Wooldridge of Taos, N.M.; a brother, Jim Magill of St. Louis; five sisters, Bee Anderson of Columbia, Mo., Frances Hunter of Sikeston, Mo., Merle Winn of Los Altos, Calif., Lee Kaempfer of Aledo, and Mary Dale Jones of Sanford, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. A son and two brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Nathaniel Pyron officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
