PATTON -- William Hadley Grindstaff, 90, of Patton died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1908, at Patton, son of Jefferson and Elizabeth Seabaugh Grindstaff. He married Mary Faye Pulliam, who died Aug. 13, 1974.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He had worked for the Brown Boys Sawmill and was a member of the Post Oak Congregational Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Michael Grindstaff of Marble Hill; a sister, Rose McKinley of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Post Oak Church near Patton, with the Rev. Julius Mills officiating.
Burial and military rites by VFW Post 5900 will be at Post Oak Church Cemetery.
