WILLIAM F. (BILL) CISSELL

PERRYVILLE -- William F. (Bill) Cissell, 70, of Perryville, died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 24, 1921 in Perry County, son of Frank and Mary Tucker Cissell.

On May 21, 1945, he married Merle R. Pingel. She survives of the home.

He worked for International Shoe Co. before retiring. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Carol Brown of St. Louis and Juanita Elder of Perryville; one brother, Lawrence Cissell of Perryville; three sisters, Hilda Franklin, Theresa Moore and Dorothy Leible, all of Perryville; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m., followed by a VFW service at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry Grodecki officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
