William "Bill" Estes, 74, of Gordonville, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at the family home.
He was born Jan. 23, 1938, in Delta, to the late Thomas Carl and Tessie Pauline Copman Estes. He married Emma Duba on May 29, 1959.
Bill was a retired process safety engineer at Procter & Gamble Paper Products in Cape Girardeau. He attended The Church of God in Chaffee and was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Michael (Joyce) Estes and William "Bill" Estes Jr. of Gordonville; a granddaughter, Stacy Estes of Gordonville; a brother, Carl (Joyce) Estes of Chaffee; a sister, Shirley (Berle) Hopper of Morley, Mo.; a half sister, Hazel Reams of Chaffee; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a half sister, Bernice Bess, and a nephew, Johnny Kinder.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. An Elks service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Morris officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, Mo.
