Funeral service for William E. "Slick" Miller, 535 S. Frederick, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Howard McGee Jr. will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Miller, 66, died Sunday, June 26, 1994, at his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Allenville, son of Walter and Margueritte Pettit Miller.
Miller attended John Cobb School. He worked in the steel mill in Detroit, Mich., retiring in 1987 and moving back to Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include five sons, Billy Miller of California, Alvin Miller of Oklahoma, Gary and Wayne Miller of Washington, D.C., Jonathan Miller of Detroit; three daughters, Syvilla Swan of Cape Girardeau, DeAnn Miller of Detroit, Elaine Miller of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Edmond Miller of California, Gerald Miller of Boston, Mass.; a sister, Betty Cato of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and great-grandson.
