WILLIAM E. BANKS

EAST PRAIRIE -- William Edward Banks, 59, of Marietta, Ga., died Saturday, April 18, 1992, at his home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1932, in East Prairie, son of William Bradley and Emma Barnes Banks.

A retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, Banks had lived in Marietta 15 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brad Banks of Austell, Ga., David Banks of Marietta; two daughters, Laura Heghey of Powder Springs, Ga., Donna Banks of Eleutheria, Bahamas; three brothers, Arden and Harold Banks of East Prairie, Tommy Banks of Antonio; four sisters, Laverne Nall and Effie Colson of East Prairie, Lucille Nall of Benton, Betty Gore of Granite City, Ill., and six grandchildren.

Funeral service was held today at Winkenhofer Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial was in Cheatham Hill Cemetery there, with full military rites.
