MOREHOUSE -- William S. Dillon, 88, of Morehouse died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born May 31, 1909, at Van Buren, son of Harry and Melissa Dillon. He and Juanita Hall were married at Bloomfield. Dillon retired as superintendent at Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Plant. MOREHOUSE -- William S. Dillon, 88, of Morehouse died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born May 31, 1909, at Van Buren, son of Harry and Melissa Dillon. He and Juanita Hall were married at Bloomfield.

Dillon retired as superintendent at Himmelberger-Harrison Manufacturing Plant. He also served as administrator of New Madrid County Health Department several years, and served several terms as mayor of Morehouse.

He was a member of Rauch-Spence Memorial Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and was a former president of Morehouse School Board.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dr. William Dillon of Sikeston; a daughter, LaRita McIntyre of Matthews; a brother, Kinnard Dillon of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mae Woods of Merced, Calif., Shirley Hammock of Morehouse; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jerry Turner and Linda Zych officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
