ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- William R. Dennis Sr., 66, of St. Charles died Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Bill was the former mayor of Dellwood, Missouri, and retired from Boeing.
He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Bill was a graduate of St. Louis University and received a master's degree from Webster University. He was a longtime member of St. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed traveling, playing golf and having a good cigar with a nice glass of bourbon with his friends. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
He was the loving husband of Sandra Dennis; beloved son of the late Winfred and Estella Dennis; devoted father of Dr. William (Amy) Dennis Jr. and Stacy (fiance Brian Curia) Rebello; cherished grandfather of Marie Rebello; dear brother of Pat (Steve) Mulligan, Mike (Maureen) Dennis and Jim (Lynn) Dennis; and had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass was Wednesday at St. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The family was served by Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles.
