CHAFFEE -- William "Bill" Daugherty Jr., 40, of Chaffee died Monday, Feb. 24, 1992, at Tan-Tar-A Lake of the Ozarks.
He was born Feb. 20, 1952 at Walnut Ridge, Ark., son of William Daugherty and Anita Cowell Daugherty. They survive.
Since 1980, he had taught high school math at Scott County Central High School.
He held a masters degree in mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was also a member of Missouri State High School Athletic Association for Officials of Baseball and Basketball, the A.S.A. Softball Umpires Association.
He was a member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810 and Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615 and attended First Baptist Church of Chaffee.
On March 6, 1975, he married the former Karla Curtis. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Mac Daugherty, Chaffee; one daughter, Ashlei Daugherty, Chaffee; two brothers Bob Daugherty, Marble Hill, Dan Daugherty, Jackson; one sister, Susan Dover, Chaffee; and his maternal grandmother, Izada Cowell Benton.
Friends may call Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 5 p.m. An Elks service will be held at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Charley Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
