William Andreas Cortez Jr., 58, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 7, 1956, in San Jose, Calif., to Guillermo Andreas and Juanita Imogene Stone Cortez Sr. Survivors include his children, Marjorie Boone of Imperial, Mo., Kristina Johnson of Paducah, Ky., Elijah, Stevie and Austin Cortez of Jackson and Kiefer Mecham of Springfield, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Grisham of Farmington, Mo.; other relatives and friends...

William Andreas Cortez Jr., 58, of Jackson died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his home.

He was born Jan. 7, 1956, in San Jose, Calif., to Guillermo Andreas and Juanita Imogene Stone Cortez Sr.

Survivors include his children, Marjorie Boone of Imperial, Mo., Kristina Johnson of Paducah, Ky., Elijah, Stevie and Austin Cortez of Jackson and Kiefer Mecham of Springfield, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Grisham of Farmington, Mo.; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
