William Louis "Bill" Cohen, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, June 20, 1997, at his home.
He was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Fredericktown. He was a graduate of Kemper Military Academy and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia.
Cohen and Mary Jean Duff were married May 17, 1953, at Poplar Bluff.
He owned and operated Cohen Furniture Co. in Poplar Bluff from 1960-71. He was an interior designer with Rust and Martin from 1972-92.
Cohen served with the 83rd Infantry Division in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received a Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ron Cohen of Poplar Bluff, William Cohen of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Tom Bruins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
