DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for William C. Stone of Dongola Route 2 will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Norris and Son Funeral Home. The Revs. Jimmy Wilson and Gene Hart will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Stone, 83 years old, died Monday, March 4, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Sept. 29, 1907, at Alto Pass, son of Albert and Melvina Rendleman Stone. He and the former Ina Davis were married July 6, 1925.

Stone was a section hand with GM&0 Railroad, and member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ed Stone of Dongola Route 2; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
