JONESBORO, Ill. -- William "Buck" Bryant, 87, of Jonesboro died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at the Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

He was born April 11, 1912, at Tamms, son of George and Mattie Cohen Bryant.

He was employed by the Florsheim Shoe Factory. He served in the U.S. military.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Lorene Bryant of Thebes.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Thompson, his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hileman & Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Monahan officiating. Burial will be at the Mounds City National Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of Anna.
