DONGOLA, Ill. -- William Bowen Sr., 85, of Dongola, died Monday, April 11, 1994, at City Care Center in Anna.
He was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Enid, Okla., son of Oliver J. and Jennie Castle Bowen. He and Wanda J. Dover were married April 26, 1947.
Bowen was a member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Bowen Jr. of Jonesboro; a daughter, Judy Jerolds of Dongola, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike VanDeWalle and Everett Frizzell officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
