ULLIN, Ill. -- William A. "Bill" Ryan, 70, of Ullin, died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Ullin, son of Oscar and Florence Aldridge Ryan. He and Marjorie Kerley were married July 28, 1945, in Ullin.
Ryan was a retired farmer and also retired from Pulaski County Highway Department in 1986. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William Ryan of Ullin; two daughters, Phyllis Dover of Charleston, Lou Etta Marks of Alto Pass, Ill.; a brother, Clinton Ryan of Ullin; two sisters, Lottie Palmer of Pulaski, Grace Boyd of Marietta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harlan Chute officiating. Burial will be in Cache Chapel Cemetery near Ullin.
