Willard Sitzes
GLENALLEN, Mo. — Willard "Jim" Leo Sitzes, 87, of Glenallen died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Glenallen, son of Welker and Maggie Huggins Sitzes. He and Clara Charlene Simmons were married Dec. 14, 1942.
Sitzes worked in the housing construction business and attended Calvary Temple Church in Fredericktown, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leonard Sitzes, J.W. Ray Sitzes, both of Kokomo, Ind., James Sitzes of Bringhurst, Ind.; a sister, Linda Mouser of Fredericktown; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Cureton officiating.
Burial will follow in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glenallen with full military rites by the Missouri Honors Team.
