WITTENBERG, Mo. -- Willard H. Roth, 78, of Wittenberg died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Wittenberg, son of Leo and Linna Mueller Roth. He and Elvira Klaus were married Aug. 20, 1950.
Roth was a farmer. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post 133. Roth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Roth of Old Appleton, Mo., Robert Roth, Kenny Roth, both of Frohna, Mo.; three daughters, Joy Peetz of Shawneetown, Lois Pilz of Frohna, Edith Mueller of Fenton, Mo.; two brothers, Edgar Roth of Perryville, Mo., Vernon Roth of Arnold, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo., with the Rev. Ronald Paseur officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside service.
