WINLOCK, Wash. -- Willard Johnny McCrite, 73, of Winlock, formerly of Tamms, Ill., died at his home Feb. 10, 2004.
He was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Tamms, son of Harley and Pansy McCrite. He lived most of his life in the state of Washington. He went to school in Diswood and Olive Branch, Ill.
McCrite was in the Cairo, Ill., National Guard, then went to Camp Cook, Calif., where he worked as a cook. He served in Korea. He attended Toledo Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lee of Washington; two sons, Stephson McCrite of Eatonville, Wash., Mark McCrite of Winlock; two daughters, Lisa James and Kris Rush, both of Eatonvile; three stepsons, Gordon Bellevue of Chebalis, Wash., Bret Bellevue of Buckley, Wash., Mile Berge of Tacoma, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Meredith Brety of Fall City, Wash., Rolyn Sneed of Enumclaw, Wash.; two bothers, Harley "Toad" McCrite of Olive Branch, Raymond "Pedro" McCrite of Tamms; three sisters, Georgia Malone of Joliet, Ill., Ethel Honey of Tamms and Jeanie Zimmerman of Frankfort, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife and a brother.
A memorial service was held in Washington.
