ADVANCE -- Willard L. Reutzel, 89, of Advance died Friday, Dec. 19, 1997, at Advance Nursing Care Center.
He was born Jan. 1. 1907, at Rumbranch, son of Robert Henry and Stella Christian Reutzel.
He was a fleet mechanic for H.C. Price Co. before retiring. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Advance.
He married Shirley Swan on Nov. 20, 1949, at Piggott, Ark. She survives.
Survivors included sons, Scott Reutzel of Advance and Larry Reutzel of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter, Tara Holt of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Gene Reutzel of Freemont, Neb.; two sisters, Lucille Hilton of Springfield and Mary Tucker of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Larry Greenfield officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
