ORAN, Mo. -- Willard Linder Crader, 94, of Oran passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born March 17, 1919, in Burfordville to the late Daniel Lee Sylvester and Anna Lena Kyle Crader. He married Wilma Dudley on Nov. 10, 1938, and she survives.
Willard was a retired farmer. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Oran and past worshipful master of former Masonic Lodge 184 AF&AM in Morley, Mo. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends, always had a large garden, was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family, and he celebrated his 75th wedding anniversary Nov. 9, 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma, of the home; three sons, Harold (Jan) Crader of St. Louis, Kenneth (Kathie) Crader of Bald Knob, Ark., and Robert (Donna) Crader of Mindora, Wis.; three sisters, Ruby Statler of Cape Girardeau, Lucille Hinkle of Fredericktown, Mo., and Mary Daniels of St. Peters, Mo.; four grandchildren, Rodney, Jason, Travis and Zachary; and three great-grandchildren, Luke, William and Hendrix.
He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Alonzo, Elmer, Buford and Herman; as well as one sister, Ollie.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. A masonic service will be at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley. Pallbearers will be Rodney Crader, Jason Crader, Travis Crader, David Crader, Devin Amelunke, Jeff Amelunke, Roger Dudley and David Gilpin.
