Willard Andrew Cohen, 75, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at his home in Jackson. He was born June 28, 1941, in St. Louis to Phillip and Phyllis Stokes Cohen. Willard Andrew Cohen, 75, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at his home in Jackson.

He was born June 28, 1941, in St. Louis to Phillip and Phyllis Stokes Cohen. He and Linda Ramage were married Feb. 27, 1987, in Malden, Missouri.

Willard was a 1959 graduate of Malden High School. In 1964, he graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor of science in business management.

Willard worked in the field of banking and earned many certificates from schools of banking. At one time, he was employed as a bank examiner for the state of Missouri. His other employment includes Security Federal Savings and Loan in Malden; the former Mercantile Bank in Cape Girardeau; the Bank of Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona; a bank in Lebanon, Missouri; Wood and Huston Bank in Cape Girardeau; and the Bank of Camdenton in Camdenton, Missouri, retiring in 2003.

Loving survivors include his wife of 29 years, Linda Cohen of Jackson; a son, Scott (Denyse) Cohen of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters, Kim Cohen of Springfield, Missouri, and Shawna Ward-Hanks and husband, Justin, of Jackson; six grandchildren, Shay Cohen, Mallorie Cohen, Taylor Wilson, Steven Hanks, Kayla Hanks and Brynna Ward-Hanks; a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Wilson; and two siblings, Phillip Stokes Cohen and Phillippa Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Kaden Ward-Hanks.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Cremation was accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
