DEXTER -- Willard LaRue Brown, 68, of Dexter died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997,. at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Aug. 28, 1928, at Chaffee, son of Grover and Agnes Beringer Brown. He and Viola Louise Brockmire were married July 11, 1952. Brown was owner of Brown Construction in Dexter. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Masonic Lodge. DEXTER -- Willard LaRue Brown, 68, of Dexter died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997,. at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Aug. 28, 1928, at Chaffee, son of Grover and Agnes Beringer Brown. He and Viola Louise Brockmire were married July 11, 1952.

Brown was owner of Brown Construction in Dexter. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Brown of Dexter; three daughters, Janet Baker of Mexico, Mo., Susan Cutler of St. Charles, Patricia Ahlert of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Emogene McClain of St. Ann; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vyron Young officiating. Burial will be in Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
