Willa Mae Chasteen, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 12, at Bloomfield, Mo. She was born Dec. 1, 1919, to the late Fred and Canna Myers Dixon at Dexter, Mo. She married Russell Chasteen Jan. 18, 1946. He died Feb. 14, 1987.
Chasteen spent most of her life in the West Pleasant Valley community. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, the Dexter Hospital Auxilliary and the Golden Age Quilting Club.
Survivors include three sons, William Chasteen of Bloomfield, Gary Chasteen of Dexter and Terry Chasteen of North Olmstead, Ohio; one brother, Clyde Dixon of Dexter; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Terryl Almond officiating. Burial will follow in the West Pleseant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.
