Funeral service for Willa Dean Stanger, 20 Morgan Oak, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Diana Cook will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Stanger, 60, died Saturday, May 29, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born April 5, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Isom and Alma Rhoden James. She first married Ernest Stevens in 1947. She later married Charles Stanger in 1988.

Stanger was a retired nurse's aide, having worked at Ratliff Nursing Home, Hillcrest Nursing Home, and Southeast Hospital.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ernest Stevens Jr. of Scott City; a granddaughter, and two stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and three sisters.
