JACKSON -- Wiley Pugh, 77, of Jackson died Sunday, March 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 3, 1920, in Houston, Miss., son of William and Ludi Jackson Pugh. He and Dorothy Richardson were married Feb. 6, 1943, in St. Louis.
Pugh worked at Monsanto Corp. and American Can Co. in St. Louis, and then was a photographer with Anheuser-Busch Co. in St. Louis 37 years. He took pictures of celebrities and dignitaries who visited the St. Louis plant, and took promotional photos of new products and advertisements. He was head photographer when he retired in 1985.
He was an elder at Peter's Memorial Presbyterian Church a number of years, and was a past president of St. Louis Gem and Mineral Society.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Pugh of Jackson; a daughter, Judy Atwell of Vista, Calif.; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Cemetery in Fruitland. The Rev. David Stewart will officiate.
