WILDA ASH

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Wilda Ash, 98, of Phoenix, formerly of Dongola, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, in Phoenix.

She was born Feb. 27, 1898, in Dongola, daughter of Solomon and Della Fisher Hill. She married Charles E. Ash on May 29, 1920. He died July 10, 1963.

She was a member of the Dongola Church of Christ.

She is survived by a brother, Edison Hill of St. Louis; three sisters, Minnie Sheehan and Beedie Hoffner, both of St. Louis, and Loreen Campbell of Coffeyville, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

A private burial was planned. A memorial service will be scheduled later.
