ULLIN, Ill. -- Wilbur Richards, 84, of Ullin died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Richards was born Oct. 28, 1914, at Pulaski County, son of Marshall and Alta Richards. He and Erma Poole were married Oct. 21, 1932.
He was retired from the Chicago Wood Piling Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Richards is survived by his wife; six daughters, Deloris Miller of Dongola, Betty Mowery of Anna, Shirley Huey of Portland, Ind., Geloria Jerrell of Lick Creek, Kathie Trexler of Venzia, Italy, Lori Tite of Ullin; a son, Wilbur Richards of Anna; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and three brothers.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, with the Rev. Richard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cache Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
