CHAFFEE -- Wilbur "Chub" Conrad, 69, of Chaffee, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at his home.
He was born Jan. 1, 1927, at Sedgewickville, son of Vernon and Naomi Conrad.
Conrad retired four years ago as a mechanic at Dean Taylor Cadillac-Oldsmobile. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Conrad of Cape Girardeau; six brothers, Truman "Jack" Conrad of Patton, Harold "Sam," Paul "Diz," Jerry, Mark and Pat Conrad, all of Cape Girardeau; a sister, June Borgfield of Cape Girardeau, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Louis Launhardt officiating. Burial will be in Sedgewickville Lutheran Church Cemetery at Sedgewickville, with military rites by VFW Post 3838.
