WILBERT BRUNE

JACKSON -- Funeral service for Wilbert "Wib" Brune of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Brune, 77, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 1, 1916, at Daisy, son of Herman and Mary Kaiser Brune. He and Lucille "Boots" McBryde were married Aug. 24, 1944. She died Nov. 5, 1990.

Brune owned and operated a farm north of Jackson, and was employed a number of years by Missouri State Highway Department. He was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, J.W. Brune of Baldwin, Kan., and a sister, Elsie Voorhes of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.
