EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Wilbert Lee Brawner, East Prairie Route 1, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Mike Johnson will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Brawner, 66, died Sunday, June 23, 1996, at his home.

He was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Scott County, son of Doug and Rebecca Haney Brawner.

Brawner was a retired farmer.

Survivors include four sons, Ricky Brawner of Poplar Bluff, Richard Brawner of Phoenix, Ariz., Ronnie Brawner of Matthews, Scott Brawner of East Prairie; two half sisters, Joan Kozak of Shurville, Ind., Dorothy Griggs of Greenfield, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.
