Sanders, 68, died Saturday, May 23, 1992, at Ft. Root VA Medical Center in El Dorado.

He was born in Aberdeen, Miss., son of Ollie James and Annabelle Gilliland Sanders Sr. He married the former Jeanette Weathers.

Sanders was a retired maintenance superintendent with Lone Star Cement Co., and had lived in El Dorado since 1988. He was a member of First Christian Church there, VFW and DAV. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jackie Sanders of Foreman, Ark., W.H. Sanders Jr. of Ennis, Texas, Timothy Sanders of El Dorado; a brother, Ollie Sanders of Laurel, Miss.; a sister, Mary Buchanan of Columbus, Miss.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
