Raymond "Wesley" Gray, 55, of Scott City died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born in St. Louis on July 4, 1958, the son of Raymond Junior and Estella Josephine Biggs Gray. He married Bobbie Jean Moore on Sept. 22, 1979.
Wesley was a vocalist and drummer for the local band TUFA for about 20 years, starting in the mid 1970s. He worked as crusher helper for Lonestar Industries, now known as Buzzi Unicem.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Ryan (Emily Miller) Gray of Scott City; a daughter, Kyla (Michael) Workman of Scott City; three grandchildren, Grayson, Molly and Makenzie; a brother, Chad Gray of Scott City; two sisters, Patty (Rick) Minner of Scott City and Melissa McFall of Sedgewickville, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
