BERNIE -- Wesley D. Bond, 89, of Bernie died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at the Malden Nursing Care Center.
He was born April 13, 1910, at Powe, son of Ernest and Nora McNeeley Bond. He and Mary Minniear were married Jan. 31, 1935, at Piggott, Ark. She died May 25, 1990.
He was employed in the tool and die parts department for General Motors at Flint, Mich., before his retirement. He attended the Bethany General Baptist Church at Campbell and was a member of Bernie Masonic Lodge 573 A.F. and A.M.
He is survived by two sons, Wesley Lee Bond of Flushing, Mich., and Bill E. Bond of Durand, Mich.; a daughter, Margaret White of Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home at Bernie. Masonic services will be at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Bryan Johnson will officiate, with burial to follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
