JACKSON -- Funeral service for Wendy Leigh Collier of Monroe City will be held at 2 p.m. today at Holy Rosary Church, with the Revs. W.A. Knowles and Bill Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in Shelbina Cemetery at Shelbina.
Garner Funeral Home in Monroe City is in charge of arrangements.
Collier, 18, died Monday, Oct. 24, 1994, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, from injuries received Sunday in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 2, 1976, in Columbia, daughter of Danny O'Neal and Leigh Ann Portwood Collier. She attended Shelbina High School, was an honor student and 1994 graduate of Monroe City High School. Collier participated in various school activities. She was a freshman at a college in Moberly.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Leigh and Gary Chatfield of Monroe City; her father and stepmother, Danny and Jolene Collier of Shelbina; a brother, Daren Collier of Jackson; two half brothers, Eldan and Kevin Collier of Jackson; two stepbrothers, Gene Dodd of Buffalo, Okla., Aaron Magruder of Lentner; five stepsisters, Terri White of Stoutsville, Tammie Young, Lisa Fairley and Melanie Moreno of Kirksville, Aimee Thrasher of Clarence; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Kendrick of Monroe City; paternal grandmother, Goldie Collier of Chaffee, and stepgrandparents, Regina Chatfield of Monroe City, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schnitzer of Shelbina.
