OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Wendell Curtis Honey, 74, of Olive Branch died Monday, March 19, 2018, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 14, 1943, in Diswood, Illinois, to Curtis and Inez Jamison Honey. He and Pat Dominges were married July 20, 1969, at Cairo, Illinois.
He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a life-long farmer in Alexander County in Illinois. In addition, he taught industrial arts at Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School for a few years in the early 1970s.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Honey; a son, Travis (Crystal) Honey; and a granddaughter, Riley Honey.
Also surviving are a sister, Linda (Larry) Dillman, and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tyler Tankersley officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary Cathedral School in Cape Girardeau or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
