Weldon Overbeck, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Cape Girardeau County and was the son of Albert and Viola Simpher Overbeck. He married the love of his life, Lois Statler, on Nov. 25, 1961. She survives of the home.
He was a 1953 Delta High School graduate, a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was employed by MFA Agri Service in Jackson for 24 years. He had farmed many years before working for MFA and loved doing garden work.
Other loving survivors include his two daughters, Regina Bornemann (fiance, Roger Yarbrough) of Delta and Sherri (Mike) Henderson of Cape Girardeau; brother, Clifford (Shirley) Overbeck, and sister, Ruby Propst, both of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilford Overbeck; sister, Wanda Lacy; brothers-in-law, Paul Dean Lacy and Gerald Propst; sister-in-law, Bernice Overbeck; and son-in-law, Guy Bornemann.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Eric Schmidt officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be given to Grace United Methodist Church.
