WELDEN LEGRAND

ORAN -- Welden A. LeGrand, 91, of Oran, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 7, 1904, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Andrew and Crescent Heisserer Stike. She and Zeno LeGrand were married Oct. 21, 1924. He died Sept. 16, 1970.

LeGrand was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality and Oran Senior Citizens.

Survivors include four sons, Norman and Calvin LeGrand of Oran, Ronnie LeGrand of Dexter, Sam LeGrand of Cape Girardeau; six daughters, Judith King, Marilyn Diebold and Sandy Hahn of Oran, Betty Stewart of Clinton, Miss., Ruth Urhahn of Benton, Arlene Harrell of Chaffee; two brothers, Jerome Stike of St. Louis, Harold Stike of Florissant; four sisters, Clara Holmes of Cape Girardeau, Viola Smith of Jennings, LaVerne Bailey of Florissant, Beatrice Stotler of Fenton; 34 grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 6 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6:45 and Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:15.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Revs. Frederick Lutz and J. Friedel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
