SIKESTON -- William C. "Dub" Moore Jr., 76, of Sikeston died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 12, 1923, at Matthews, son of William C. and Mable Moore Sr. He and Mona June Provance were married Nov. 24, 1948, in Piggott, Ark. She died Oct. 3, 1996.
Moore was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service 27 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and its Immanuel Sunday School Class, American Legion Post 114, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and had been a leader with Boy Scout Troop 43.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Robert Moore of Thorntown, Ind.; a daughter, Teresa Taylor of Sikeston; a brother, Paul Moore of Matthews; two sisters, Colleen Vartanian of Troy, Mich., Lucille Givens of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Dr. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
