BERTRAND -- W.C. Mock, 91, of Bertrand died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston.
He was born Nov. 28, 1907, at Warm Springs, Ark., son of Thomas and Grace Carrens Mock. He and Lear Parrish were married May 5, 1942.
He was a farmer in Scott County most of his life. He was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ at Sikeston and served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Thomas D. Mock Sr. of Bertrand, two daughters, Shelby Childs of Dixon, Ky., and Janet Singleton of Greenwood, Miss.; a sister, Alda Roberts of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
