CAIRO, Ill. -- Wayne L. Wright, 47, of Dallas, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, in Dallas.
He was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Cairo, son of John E. and Mildred Jones Wright.
Wright received bachelor and master degrees from the University of Mississippi. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include a sister, Paula Wright, and a brother, James Wright, both of Cairo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
There is no visitation.
Private graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 10 at Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds. The Rev. Kelly Cox will officiate.
Barkett Funeral Home at Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
