ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Wayne Leroy Miller of Alto Pass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate, with burial in Alto Pass Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday until service time.
Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Alto Pass is in charge of arrangements.
Miller, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1914, at Alto Pass, son of Charlie Andrew and Lilly Bertha Ragsdale Miller. He and Marjorie Lucille Hoyle were married Sept. 5, 1939, in Cape Girardeau.
Miller retired from the physical plant at Southern Illinois University. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; twin sons, Davy and Danny Miller of Alto Pass; a daughter, Sara Mowery of Mt. Union, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Moon of Cobden; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
