MCCLURE, Ill. -- Wayne J. Beasley, 75, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, July 19, 1992, at St. Mary's Health Center.
He was born June 17, 1917, at McClure, son of Oliver and Pearl Castleman Beasley. He and Virginia Thompson were married in 1942 at Joplin, Mo. He later married Cloriaetta Johnson June 25, 1975, in Jefferson City.
Beasley attended school in McClure. He had lived in the Jefferson City area since 1948. He worked for Missouri Highway Department 33 years, retiring in 1977.
He attended First Baptist Church, was a member of American Legion, American Association of Retired Persons, and Missouri Retired State Employees Association.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Beasley of Jefferson City; a daughter, Kimberly Taylor of St. Louis, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Lana Martin of Jefferson City; two sisters, Vivian Gordon of Paris, Texas, Colleen Kitchen of Spring, Texas; three brothers, Ralph Beasley of Carey, Ohio, Gerald Beasley of Taylor, Mich., Carol Beasley of Rosharon, Texas; five grandchildren, and two stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Freeman Mortuary in Jefferson City from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at the chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Gary Parker will officiate, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
