Wayne Lee Brim, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1942, in Versailles, Ill., son of Rupert Wayne and Joyce Lucille Hubbard Brim. Wayne Lee Brim, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1942, in Versailles, Ill., son of Rupert Wayne and Joyce Lucille Hubbard Brim.

Brim moved to Cape Girardeau in 1976. He had been an engineer, captain and pilot for a number of barge companies. He had also worked at Industrial Systems.

He served in the U.S. Navy from May 31, 1960, to Nov. 29, 1963.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Hoover of Gordonville, Mo., Becky Hicks of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Richard Brim of state of Illinois; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There is no visitation or funeral.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
