Warren H. Strack, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 4, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born April 20, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, son of Henry A. and Louise M. Bertling Strack. He and Margaret P. Welker were married Aug. 22, 1943, in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Strack was a firefighter 10 years and a fire inspector 15 years with city of Cape Girardeau, retiring Dec. 14, 1977.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, active in its Men's Club and in charge of the club's fair stand, and was a former church elder. He portrayed Santa Claus 40 years.

Mr. Strack was a 1940 graduate of the former College High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Bob Fee of Cape Girardeau, Debbie and Tom Siemers of Northsport, Ala.; three granddaughters, Lee-Ann Brugger, Monica Popp and Jennifer Clark; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Breite will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund.
