WARREN J. HENDERSON

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Warren J. Henderson, 81, of Dongola died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Lewis Nathaniel and Hettie Brown Henderson. He and Carmon Manning were married June 5, 1940. She survives.

Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.

Other survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Poole of Elco; a brother, Harold Eugene Henderson of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.

Private funeral service was held Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with the Rev. Dare Aden officiating. Burial was at Friendship Cemetery.
