DEXTER -- Waneata Sanders, 84, of Dexter died Friday, July 30, 1999, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 10, 1914, at Frisco, daughter of John and Della Helm Walker. She and W.A. "Bill" Sanders were married Feb. 25, 1932. He died Feb. 5, 1990.
Formerly of Essex, she had lived at Dexter since 1967. She attended the Presbyterian Church at Dexter, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Lilbourn.
Survivors include two sons, Delbert Sanders of Troy, Gene Sanders of Marthasville; four daughters, Shirley Felker of St. Johns. Betty Horton of Essex, Kathryn Hann of Morehouse, Paulette Young of Potosi; two sisters, Letha Burleson and Ruby Glenn of Dexter; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two children and a grandson.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Geary Scott officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery at Bernie.
