Wanda Mae Ramsey, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at her home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, daughter of Mark and Pearl Murphy Wheeler. She and Bentley Ramsey were married July 3, 1943, in St. Charles. He died Aug. 15, 1992.
The Ramseys had owned and operated Ramsey Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a church circle, and Wednesday Bowling League.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Hopkins and Linda Farrow of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Elmer Wheeler of Mt. Morris, Mich.; and a sister, Betty Romack of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Matthew Hopkins of Cape Girardeau, Calvin Farrow of Denver, Colo., Travis Farrow of Egypt Mills, Gail Richmond of Cape Girardeau; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Melissa Hopkins of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dr. Larry Gallamore will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
