BELL CITY, Mo. -- Wanda Swindell Ponce, 82, of Bell City died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at her home.
She was born Nov. 2, 1926, at Oran, Mo., daughter of Robert and Bertha Greer Fisher. She and Lester Swindell were married Jan. 10, 1946, at Benton, Mo. He died Sept. 15, 1972. She later married Bill Ponce May 29, 1976. He died May 4, 1989.
Ponce had been a hairdresser since February 1958, and was a member of the General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Swindell of Boonville, Ind., Keith Swindell of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Herschel Fisher of Advance, Mo.; two sisters, Marie Widner of Durant, Mich., Helen Helderbrand of Sikeston, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Swindell officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
