Wanda Lee Ackman, 47, of St. Ann, Mo. and formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1991, at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of the late August and Louise Hesse Ackman.
She had worked at the Injects Plastic Co. in St. Louis prior to her retirement in 1982. In the early 1960s, she moved to St. Ann from Cape Girardeau, where she is a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Gary "Jake" Ackman of Jackson; five sisters, Sharon K. Chapman and Mildred F. Hitt, both of Cape Girardeau, Burna D. Walker of Jackson, Velma L. Shepard of Whitewater, and Zeta M. Simms of Commerce.
She also was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, and burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, near Neely's Landing.
